To long...

I haven't written on here in awhile. Haven't really had much to blog about but I thought since Jeremy's at work and I'm bored at home I would write a little something. :)

So, yesterday I had an interview at the CDC (Child development center) on base and it went great! I feel really good about it. My last interview with the other CDC on base didn't go so well because it was a group interview of about 6 of us and I just felt very uncomfortable (hence the reason why I didn't get the job..lol). The interview yesterday was just one on one and the lady was very nice and made me feel comfortable so I have a good feeling about this one. I love working with kids, I would love to be a teacher some day so I'm really hoping I get this job.

I also just got a phone call from the dollar tree today which I applied at a few month ago and I have an interview for that on Thursday. It's nothing special but it'll bring in income so I wouldn't mind working there, although I would really like to work at the CDC which also pays significantly higher than the Dollar Tree.
We'll see in the next week or so what happens though! :)

On to another topic...
Jeremy and I have been trying for a baby now for about 6 months. It's getting pretty tough on me, especially seeing other women getting pregnant. I have over 20 friends on my Facebook that are either pregnant or just had a baby. I'm so happy for all of them but of course a little part of me is jealous. :/ As much as I try not to be. I pray about it all the time and I try to keep reminding myself that God will give us a baby in his time but of course it's still hard.
It's probably for the best right now anyway because I really need to get a job right now and finish paying off some of our debt and save a lot more before we have a baby and besides I'm still young, I'm only 21. We still have plenty of time. And I'd rather live comfortably, I really don't want to be living pay check to pay check with a little one.

I also tried to make a doctors appointment the other day to get checked out and make sure everything is okay but I left a message and they never called me back (that's military doctors for ya) so I'll give them a call again tomorrow.

Anyway, I'm excited to start working again! It's been about a year and a half. I'm tired of sitting around doing nothing and I want to help make money until we have a baby.

Okay, well that was my little ramble blog post for today. :) I really need to try and update this thing more! =]
I hope all my bloggy friends are doing well!

California Sunshine.

Today was a gorgeous day!! It was beautiful out and 70 degrees. I'm so ready for spring/summer. My favorite time of year. I can't wait to go to lay out by the pool and swim. And I'm also looking forward to trips to the beach. I think it's a little farther to the beach here then it was when we lived in So. CA. Oh well, at least we have a pool at our apartment complex.

I also really want to take a trip with Jeremy to Bodega Bay this summer. It's on the Sonoma Coast. Only about an hour and 45 mins from where we live.

Doesn't that look beautiful!?

Gah! There is so much I want to do this summer! I would also love to take a ride in a Hot Air Balloon over Napa Valley. But shh don't tell anyone, Jeremy's kind of afraid of heights. :( So, I don't know if he would go.

So gorgeous!!

I'm so ready for beautiful skies and sunshine. I'm done with all the rain and coldness.

Bring on the summer....

1 year!

One year ago today I had to say goodbye to Jeremy for 8 1/2 weeks. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do but it's so worth it now. Jeremy has been in the Air Force for one year today. I love him so much and I'm so very proud of him.
We've had our ups and downs this last year but it's been all around a great year.

Some things I love about being an AF wife:
I got to enjoy the summer in Mississippi while he was there for tech school.
I have made so many AF wife friends from all over the world.
It's not far from home but we moved to Northern California.
Made some best friends here at Travis AFB that I'll never forget.
I'm closer to my sister Kristy and her family, so I get to see my awesome niece and nephews more often! :)

I knew this military life wouldn't be easy but I wouldn't change it for the world. I'm so happy with where we are today and I'm so grateful for this life God has given me.
I want to thank all my wonderful AF wife friends who have been with me through all the ups and downs of this past year. I'm so thankful for each and every one of you! And I love you!

Happy 1 year in the AF baby! I love you! :)

My first time hosting a party...

I'm so excited! Tomorrow I'm hosting a New Years Party! My very first one. I've invited a bunch of military wives and there husbands over to play some games, hang out and just have a good time. I'm a little nervous since this is my first time, I just want to make sure I keep everyone entertained! lol
We'll probably play some wii, oooo I never mentioned that we got a WII for Christmas from my parents! I love it, so much fun! Then when we got home we bought a wii fit plus, even better! =] It's so addicting and fun but also a great work out! If you don't have one I highly recommend it!
So, let me tell you about my Christmas! Jeremy had 6 days off of work so we drove down to Southern CA to visit our families. We spent Christmas eve day with my grandparents and that night we went to Jeremy's parents, it was a lot of fun. We got Jeremy's little brother a Nerf gun, he loved it! And we got our niece Melanie two barbies. Then Christmas day we spent with my parents, brother and his girlfriend/my best friend Kelly. We got my mom and dad a digital picture frame, they really liked it. :-)
Saturday Jeremy went shooting with his dad, uncle and grandpa so I had a girls day and got my toes done with my mom and Kelly..ahhh it was so nice! Much needed! :-)
I totally feel like I'm writing in a diary right now. Haha!
Anyway, Sunday we went to my parents church and then to the movies to see Avatar (weird movie but really good) and then headed home on our 6 hour drive. Jeremy had Monday off so we took down Christmas decorations, played some wii and relaxed. We had a great 6 days!
Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas as well!
